1.Mathematics are/ is not easy to learn
(mathematics, physics, politics, gymnastics words take always singular= এই শব্দগুলো singular হয়, সুতরাং answer
হবে is)
2.All his money are/ is kept in the blank.
 (money, news always takes singular verb, সুতরাং answer হবে is)
3. The scissors is/ are lying on the table.
(scissors, trousers, spectacles, shears, pliers take plural verb,)
4.Billiards is /are a very difficult game.
(billiard, draughts, darts, take plural verb)
5.Tom as well as George is/ are coming.
(two singular nouns joined by as well as  then  takes singular verb)
6.All has two meaning= nothing /everything and everybody
All of us are/ are present = are
7.English is / are easier than German.
( any  language takes singular verb)
 8.The number of pupils are /is increasing = is
(the number of = individual )
9.A number of pupils is/ are absent today= are
(a number of = unlimited )
10.Many people lost their life/ lives at sea.
(life, heart, soul, body , mind + plural verb)

Gulbadan Nesa Monika, wife of the language movement veteran ( অভিজ্ঞ ) , handed over the body to DMCH Vice-Principal Shafiul Alam at the Shaheed Minar premises at 1:47pm, reports our correspondent from the spot.
